TJ wont start

First time it happened, it will crank and if I give it enough gas it will start but as soon as I let off the gas it dies. Tried jump starting it but that didnt help at all. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

Take your jeep to any reputable auto parts store and have them pull your OBD codes. If you come up with something it will be easier to diagnose than just the information you've given. I could think of a multitude of problems from what you are describing.

i agree with Clif From my prev experience right off the bat i can think of bad fuel pump (no fuel psi), no spark-ignition problem, bad timing, and many more...
