Tomorrow - SYE/CV, BL, MML, Belly Skid get ordered.

Hello Folks,

Thanks to all of the replies and excellent feedback from all you nice and knowledgeable jeepers types, I have decided to heed your advice and tomorrow purchase the following for Stage I of my jeep build:

SYE from JB Industries
CV Shaft from Pro Comp (but only 90% sure)
Rokmen belly skid
JKS 1.25" Body lift
Brown Dog 1" MML

Also getting a new transmission mount from Daystar

So what do you think? Questions? Comments? Concerns?

This will all work in conjunction towards the ultimate goal of running 35's, in case you're wondering. Moad this October!

Solid list...

I'd go with a tom woods or adams shaft over the procomp...just a suggestion. Also, with your belly skid, i'd add a novak cable shifter to it. Great addition.

Oh, and try to add some upper adjustable control arms to that in order to adjust the pinion angle for the sye.

Might want to look into a rubber transmission mount vs the Daystar poly trans mount. The poly one will transmit lots more vibrations than a rubber.

Great advice above. You may also want to grab an angled rear track bar bracket.

Yeah, didnt even see that you posted about the daystar mount...just stick with the oem rubber mount. Cheaper and less vibes transmitted.

Better get that MML ordered asap. I ordered a 1.5" MML on Feb 10 and haven't heard anything from Brown Dog. Sent them an email today and waiting for a reply.

Give them a call. They almost always answer anytime, any day. I know this from experience because I ran into an issue with the motor mounts not fitting right. I called them on a Friday at 11 PM and they still answered and gave me some good advice.
Mine took about two weeks from the day I ordered them to get to me.

I had the same issue and because I work graveyards calling would have been really hard. I emailed and received an very quick response on the status. First response is that it would ship in 12-48 hours. Still took 4 days (no weekends included). They said demand is high and they are having a hard time keeping up on the production side. All in all it took me 20 calendar days to receive mine. They were responsive and I just wish they would have been more proactive.

Hopefully mine are getting close then since this is day 17. From everything I've heard they make a great product and I'm not in a big hurry.....yet. I have a big wheeling trip at the end of March to Kentucky and would like to complete the rear coil spring correction , JKS body lift and MML at least a week before we leave.

Hope they get there, I'd contact them if I were you... Who knows how long it would have been if I hadn't contacted them.

Just got off the phone with Brown Dog. They said my mounts will be built on Saturday and I should receive them mid next week. Right after the call I got an email saying they should ship in 12-48 hours. This will work just fine for me. If you're planning on them for your build, order early.

instead of paying for the stock transmission mount, could consider the UCF lopro mount. I love mine.

Awesome, sounds like it'll work out for you. And FYI I am not bashing or complaining about Brown Dog I understand challenges of being a smaller business. They were very responsive and they followed thru on what they said they would do. I just wish it would have been proactive rather than reactive.

Did you receive your motor mounts yet? It's been three weeks since I ordered.

I hope thats correct. As you can see from previous posts mine were supposed to be built and shipped on 3-1. I never received any shipping info. On 3-11 I called BD again and was told they were shipped on 3-3. BD also said that USPS had lost two sets of mounts already this month and they would check the shipping. That evening I received a shipping confirmation email from BD with tracking info. I will say this, when I received the package on 3-20 the mail man just set it on top of my mailbox so it could've been stolen the first time. But why no shipping info sent? At this point it doesn't really matter. It's to late to install them before my wheeling trip. I will do that when I return.
