TONS of Radiator Issues

I'm having A LOT of radiator troubles lately. I have a 1998 Wrangler Sport. Its an automatic & has the 4.0L I6. I found antifreeze on the underside of my hood this morning. This is my 4th radiator. I have a new belt, new harmonic balancer, new radiator cap (a fancy one too), a brand new head gasket, and a new thermostat; which i got ALL of that not even a month ago. So i don't think there should be anything wrong with it, but radiator fluid is coming from somewhere.
I just dropped it off at the shop again today.
I've been having coolant system issues (i.e. busted radiator, faulty cap, busted head gasket) like this for the past 3 or 4 months. I'm getting tired of forking out money on it & it not being fixed all of the way.
Anyone have any guesses on what in the heck is wrong with my Jeep?

Have you checked the coolant bypass tube? Should be a gasket on it. Believe it's located by the thermostat housing.

How many miles do you have on your Jeep and what kind of radiators have you been replacing?

Made in China

Radiator #1 and Radiator #2

The top radiator #1 had a bad seam. You can tell just by looking at it. The bottom radiator #2 has a good seam. Radiator #1 spewed coolant every time I turned on the engine.

I have about 106,000 miles on it, & i asked my mechanic what kind & he said the radiators they use come from NAPA or 1-800-radiator.

You replaced the head gasket because of a leaky radiator?

How bad did you overheat your jeep?

I replaced it because my head gasket busted, because of my Jeep being 16 years old, or because my thermostat was stuck & it made it over heat. But the thermostat is brand new now since it got replaced when i got my new head gasket.

I just got my Jeep back from the mechanic. He said they did a pressure test & saw that my hose clamps were broken, so they replaced my pipes & my hose clamps.
I'm sure hoping this is the last time i have to take my jeep to the shop for radiator & coolant trouble.

If you let engine overheat enough to damage a head gasket you may have other very serious issues with the engine

Good Luck

That is true. I will say though, when i gave my Jeep to my mechanic, he sent it off to a machine shop to replace the head gasket & evaluate the engine for more damage (like a cracked or warped head, & such things), but the only thing they found what was wrong with it was a blown head gasket & nothing else. All though, that head gasket costed me several radiators, a thermostat & other things, but i believe we have fixed everything (hopefully).

My radiator busted again. A substantial & steady amount of fluid is leaking out.
I cranked it up, & noticed it was squeaking so i pulled over & checked underneath it & it was leaking out. So i drove home (which wasn't far; probably around 200 yards away) & its now parked in my drive way. I was planning a week of no top & no doors since there is a 0% chance of rain until Friday here!

Maybe the radiators have been poorly constructed, champion makes nice radiators, believe that the one I got for my yj was under 200 and is all aluminum
