Too much clearance?

Heyy guys! Just wanted some advice/ opinion on these: PSC's Tj defenders XC and PSC's Tj defenders.

TJ DeFender XC - 3" Tapered Flares (Steel) | Jeep Front Fender Armor | Poison Spyder Customs

TJ/LJ DeFenders - 3" Flares (Steel) | Jeep Front Fender Armor | Poison Spyder Customs

I have around a 3-4 in lift (unknown lift PO put in) and running 33x12.5x15 duratracs. I know the XC were mostly meant for 35s and up but would they look fine with 33s? I do eventually want to move up to 35s but being a college student, it's gonna be a while!
I know I would have to do some modifications to my hood if I go with the XC and I have a friend who can help with that so thats wouldn't be a deal breaker. Just wanted your guy's advice/opinions! Thanks!

Here's a pic of my Jeep as she sits now

With your current lift, and since your keeping the 33's, you will like the look of the defenders in the non-xc flavor. The hi line version or xc will look a little big with 33's and a 3.5 lift- but you can never have too much clearance .

Hi lines are really high in person and will only be helpful if you drop down in lift and move up to a 35. Keep those tires though- they are good meats. You can do a lot on 33's!

Okay yeah, I wasn't to sure how high the "high line" fenders would look with 33s. Thanks for the reply!

Having installed Poison Spyder's aluminum Defenders, I'd definitely reconsider your decision to go with steel. Their aluminum Defenders are strong & made of a thicker than expected gauge of aluminum, they are definitely worthy of any level of trail you can throw at them. The steel fenders will weigh more than what you have now and at least to me, have no benefit over their aluminum counterparts.

Thanks Jerry! Looks like I'll just have to save just a bit more for the aluminum ones
