Torx bolts for stock tj bumper ends

I am looking for the replacement bolts that are used to hold the bumper ends on the stock tj. I have tried a standard 1/4 bolt and they don't seem to fit. The instructions that came with the after market bumper ends tell you to use the OEM bolts to hold them in place. They say it is a T25 Torx bolt. I know that number (T25) is the size of torx bit that is needed to take the bolt in and out of the bumper, but does it have a bearing on the diameter, or the thread pitch? I would like to be able to get these somewhere besides the STEALERSHIP.....

Ace has automotive screws like that. They are sheet metal looking in nature. You won't find the torx head but who needs one. Take a bumper end in there to test fit. They are in drawers labeled automotive fasteners.

in addition to the bolts, you will need the metal retainers that the bolts go through to hold the plastic to the metal.

They look nothing like that link. They have a sharp tapered point and are threaded like sheet metal screws.

They go in pinched on looking metal things and cut there own threads I think. The one in pic is off my jeep. Not sure where but bumper ones are similar looking. Maybe the same.

I took a few moments and found this for you. They are Omix-Ada #6504212 and alternate part #12032.01. I saw somewhere it is a 6mm metric but can't find the site again for the thread spacing. Of the sites I found the cheapest was 1.95 for just the bolt and highest was 4.95 ea for just the bolt. You also will need the retainer clip that goes on the plastic end cap. Good Luck. Mine that I took off used 6 for the front and rear bumpers if I recall correctly.

Bring a bolt with you to Ace Hardware. Match up the threads and length and get a hex head Grade 8 bolt that matches. Why anyone would opt to keep torx head bolts when given the option is beyond me.
