Tracbar Maybe?????

Forgive me I am still new to all this. To start off I have a 2005 TJ. Today it started making a popping noise when I would turn the steering wheel. I got underneth it and it feels like the bushing for the tracbar where it is mounted to the axle is loose. Can that be the cause for the popping? I have tried to wiggle other parts and that seems to be the only place thats loose. By the way we believe it has a 4 inch lift on it, not sure what brand. Is there a way to just replace that bushing or is a new tracbar in my future purchase? Thanks in advance. Kyle

The passenger-side of the trackbar mount at the axle should be absolutely tight with zero movement possible. Either the bushing is bad or the mounting bolt hole in the bracket is wallowed out. I'd get it taken care of pretty quickly, a loose trackbar mount like that can allow Death Wobble to develop.

Thanks for such a quick response. I actually have been battling DW. But come to find out it was my tires that were the main culprit. Different tires and no more DW. Back to the tracbar, can I just replace the bushing or am I going to have to buy a complete new one? It is the stock tracbar as far as I know and it does have a bracket that drops it down from the original location. I am not sure why it has that, as I said earlier I am just a new guy that had to have a jeep, after big brother got one.
