Question Track bar adjustment

What is is correct technique for adjusting the adjustable track bars that came with my rocky-road trailblazer 4" kit. Not one word of instruction was included with this kit, however it was very easy to install and everything fit well.

Also, has anyone out there used the rocky-road susp. lifts? What do you think of them?

Thanks,
Gregg

sit your jeep on level ground. I measure from the same spot on the tire back into the frame. You need to be equal distance on each side. If you are 1/2" off you need to adjust your track bar 1/4" to get it into spec.

Hopefully, your kit also came with a riser for the connection point on the axle. The track bar keeps your axle in the right place under your Jeep, side to side. As MR. CLIFFORD said, measure the amount of space you have from either the tire, or rim, to the frame, on each side. You want your axle centered under your Jeep, side to side. That is the correct position, and also make sure everything is very tight. Use lock-tite on all of your riser bolts.

No riser included. Just adjustable track bars which appear to be longer and bent for the extra lift.

Thanks,
Gregg

I find this to also be amazing. I called several suppliers of adjustable track bars, and they all assured me that with a 4" lift, I had to use the riser that came with my lift. I thought that was kind of funny, as the track bars are adjustable. I wanted to do away with the risers, and use the original hook up point. I decided if I had to keep the riser, there was no sense in getting the adjustable track bar. They said it would mess up the geometry without the riser?????

Yes, that is amazing. What is the difference whether you use a riser or if the track bar is bent to compensate for the lift? To me the geometry would be the same either way.
