means you need a new trans pan gasket, filter will get replaced also, but have a real shop do it, not quicky lube screw ups. just my opinion. this is usually around or just over 100 smackers.

If you have a torque wrench, first try tightening each of the bolts that hold the pan to the bottom of your transmission to 13 ft-lbs. They can work loose and cause a leak.

If you're fairly handy, replacing the gasket is an easy job if tightening the bolts didn't fix the leak. Unbolt the pan using a 1/2" ratchet wrench (there are 14 bolts) after placing a catch basin or oil change container underneath. Then open the front of the pan and tip it enough so the ATF inside will drain out and into the catch basin. Expect about 4 quarts to drain out.

Replacing the transmission filter at this time would be a good idea and it's easily done, it's only held in place with 3 screws. The filter is easily spotted once the pan has been removed, they often come in a kit with a new pan gasket.

Clean the surfaces the new gasket will seat against very thoroughly, then place the new gasket in place and bolt the pan back into place. Again, use a torque wrench to tighten all 14 bolts back to 13 ft-lbs. Don't overtighten the bolts as they only thread into aluminum.

Replace the ATF+4 tranny lube lost during this process, it will take between 4 and 5 quarts of ATF+4 to refill it through the tranny level dipstick.

All this is easier than it sounds if you know which end of the wrench is the working end.
