Trans question

Will a AX 15 or any other manual trans fit on a 4.0L out of a mid-90's Cherokee that had a auto in it? What transfer cases will fit on that trans too?

Yes an AX-15 tranny will fit a 4.0L out of an XJ. The transfer case (a 231) should have been previously bolted to that same type of transmission to assure the tranny's output shaft & t-case input shaft seal properly. Othewise you may be faced with changing the transfer case's input shaft.

An NV3550 is a bolt in too from what I can tell. The NV3550 is also a more desirable/stronger transmission.
