Transfer case leak

I noticed that I have a leak (more like a seepage) from the seal on my transfer case.

At first I was thinking - meh - I need a SYE anyway, so I'll just wait until I get that.

Well after figuring out the price of a SYE:
rear upper CA's
SYE kit
new DS
Probably around ~$1,000
Can't afford that right now!

So I attached the pic where the seepage seems to be coming from. Can someone explain to me how to fix this, or link me to a description somewhere? I can't seem to find anything.

Thanks!

And what are you doing about it?

Mine seems to be leaking roughly a 1/4 of a teaspoon every few weeks, but I don't wanna let it go. My luck it'll run dry.

can't tell from pic where it's leaking from. chances are it's the rear seal. just pry out and tap in new one. can you mark with a paint pen or something to show the leak?

Its just normal wear and tear, mine does it too. If you want you could just buy and replace the seal to save T-case fluid until you get the $$$ for the SYE

I took it wheeling Saturday, and just checked it before I went. It was only a little low and I refilled it. I'm going to let somebody fix it soon thought.

There has to be. I am just wondering if it is OK to use some RTV to fix it up.
