^^^^X2...If your linkage keeps popping out at the plastic bushings, check your transfer case mount for separation. Just stick a pry bar between the tc and the skid and gently pry up. If you can lift the tc, replace the mount.

Or replace the whole thing with a Novak linkage and never worry about it again.

Transfer case linkage bushing

part number: 68064273-AA. This is the part number i got off another forum for the bushing. Mind you, i think its just for jk's. Anyways, both of my bushings crumbled in to dust and i was left with no ability to shift into 4x. I looked at multiple forums and posts and jimmy rigged it for a better fix. All said and done, 3.00$ linkage bushing sample pack and 4.00$ e clip sample pack from o'rileys auto parts shop, a hour of my time, and i'm good to go. The chrysler bushings feel like hard cheap plastic, and the ones i modded are soft and durrable. I drive a 2008 wrangler x, and i now am confident that the linkage is under control until i spend the money for the good stuff. Novak...

Yep go Novak. Made a heap of difference to mine, even got rid of an annoying rattle that was coming from the linkage. Novak will forever fix you linkage problems.
