Transfer case shifting

Just bought this wrangler yesterday, it's got a 4" lift that Jerry Bransford has been great in giving me advice on what was done wrong when it was installed. Anyhow, there's a problem in shifting the transfer case, which I suspect is associated with the crap job the shop did installing the lift.

When trying to shift into 4L, the handle when pulled up, bottoms out at the top, yet 4L is not engaged. If in gear and barely let out on the clutch, you can hear the gear teeth just barely turning and barely touching.

Would I be correct in assuming that the lift has somehow put the transfer case at too high an angle to fully engage in this selection ?

get under and look at your bell crank linkage. If you still have one side hooked to the t-case and the other hooked to the body, therein lies your problem. There are a couple of threads with the links associated with companies that make the bracket to mount it right. Or go the Novak shifter route.

Have you by chance just tried to adjust the linkage? That would be the first thing i would do before buying a new linkage.
