Transfercase info.

I have a 97 tj and the transfercase grenaded around the front output shaft. So I have installed another one but my t/c has a transfercase drop. I guess my question is could the drop cause the case to go bad? I also had to replace the rear differential recently due to a bearing failure.

My T-case did that too. The front driveshaft seized up and thats what caused mine to explode.

One of the U-Joints seized up causing the driveshaft to either stop spinning or wobble so bad it blew the t-case to smitherines. If you say the front output shaft was the point of failure than i would definitely have the driveshaft checked. It could also have been a failure in the t-case itself.
