Transmission swap for postal Jeep TJ

Ok, so I know that title is a little misleading. Though I'm hoping to attract a postal Jeep crew to give me some pointers.
I'm starting a postal route here soon and would much prefer driving my 2000 Jeep to my 2001 Dodge Durango because of the size difference.
I need some tips on swapping out a manual transmission on a 2000 TJ 4cyl. for an automatic. Having owned an automatic in the past I much prefer it anyway and it is necessary for driving while sitting in the middle.
So what specific transmission should I look for to put in it? What years will work. I need details for the whole swap. Is there a write-up on here already?
Also what tips does anyone have for using one as a postal rural route delivery Jeep? Any useful mods? Besides going out and buying a right hand drive Jeep.
Any info would be much appreciated.
