Transmission whining

Any one here have or had a whining noise from automatic transmission? I get this from taking off. I hope it is not an expensive fix.

Mine did it when i first bought it and even after a complete rebuild. A little whine from the planetary gears in first gear is normal. Ive learned to live with mine

Other than the whine on take of is the trans quiet once it shifts out of first gear?

Yes, once out of first the whining is gone. I was told that a some sort of oil or fluid that you can put into the transmission will get rid of the noise. I am not sure if this viable.

Honestly i would not add any "additive" to my ATF. If anything you can try replacing your ATF and make sure you get what your Trans calls for. All in all though a little whine is still expected from first gear. Good luck man but dont sweat it
