trouble getting doors off

I tried taking the doors off my tj for the first time and I had some trouble. When I was trying to undo the nuts on the latches they don't come off. In fact now they just spin they don't loosen or tighten. What's going on?

There isn't very much thead on the pins, so they are spinning on the stud. Best thing to do is take a hammer and chisel, or a nut splitter and break the nuts off. I don't run nuts on either of my jeeps

I had that happen to one of mine the threads had been crossed. Had to use an air chisel to get the thing off... also a floor jack and a block of wood will help greatly in lifting the door off mine where stuck pretty good
