Tub differences in 97-02 and 03-06 TJs?

What are the tub differences between the 97-02 TJ's and 03-06 TJ's?

I have an 04, I need a new tub. Will the 97-02 fit? Will my 04 seats and seat belts and everything bolt up? I believe they switched from SAE to metric.

I have heard there are dash board mounting differences and heater box differences.

I think a lot of the metrics switch was with the frame and it's attachments.

What about all of the door and windshield hinges, door latch, seat belt anchors.

to the best of my knowledge all of the door and windshield points remained the same, along with seat belt and latches.

easiest way to find out is use rock auto.com or another online parts house, look up the part you are looking for and see if there are 97-02 and 03-06 variants. some things are one year quick changes and stay the same from then on... i.e. the hood latch from 97 to 98, some are a few years in, like the a/c controls from mid 98 to 99, or the distributor to coil packs in 99. But 02-03 saw the bulk of them. Look up each one and see what options they offer...if there is a couple options bases on year, then you know what can and what will not fit.

to go from 04 to 02 is a hard one. I know seats slides are broken up by the 02/03 change. there's a lot of little things you might come across. or at least try to get as much as possible from that 02 to use. If you get a metal tub and thats it, might get sketchy
