tune up kit

planning on doing a bunch of stuff soon, just passed 100,000 miles and have everything but the cap rotor plugs and wires, is it worth getting the kits that they sell with the generic plugs wires and everything? i don't need the air filter or the fuel filter it comes with. would it be best to get the stuff from the kit separate from the kit? something better than the basic plugs wires etc?
