Turn Signal Chime Stuck On

Went in some puddles today with the top off and got the interior a little soaked but now my turn signal chime is stuck on. It's rapidly going and stops when I step on the brakes or if I turn the turn signals or flashers on. Any suggestions?

I'm guessing just a short and may possibly fix itself once it dries out I don't know if anyone has some better experience with the chime/cruise control etc.

It's a 1999 Wrangler Sport w/ Cruise Control

I've heard this is a common issue when water gets in there...and most say it fixes itself once it dries out. Maybe use a hair dryer or something to help speed the process up if it's that annoying?

okay cool, that's what I was thinking and hoping. Instead, I decided to be an idiot and pull the dash cluster apart (a lot easier then I thought) and then just yanked the unit out. That fixed the noise... and disabled my whole turn signal system oh well, least I'm learning more about disassembling this Jeep.
