2004 unlimited. Recently the turn signals and hazards will not work. There are times when they work normal and times they do not work at all. Seems like if the jeep has not been driven and is cold they do not work and sometimes after a few errands they work fine. I took it to the dealer and of course that morning they worked. They checked wires in the column and replaced the multifunction switch on Thursday. Friday everything worked fine then this morning they did not work but after a few errands they were fine. I parked it at home at 3 pm and now they don't work again. Any ideas? Could the flasher under the hood be going bad?
I'd check the fuses under the hood for any corrosion or bent contacts that accept the fuse paddles. Clean, bend back if needed, apply di-electric grease and re-connect.
I have led headlight ms but don't think they are the problem. The turn signals were not working Saturday or Sunday but have worked the last three days. Weird stuff.
I actually just got a new flasher in the mail today. Once I watch how to take the cover of the column off in YouTube I plan to change it. The turn signals worked for three days and this morning then tonight they stopped again. Let's hope the new flasher does the trick. Is the steering column cover easy to remove ? It looks like just two screws?
It turned out to be the flasher control or what ever that little relay in the column was. Thanks everyone for the advice!
