U-Joint Install

Hey all. I was under the jeep last night putting in some new shocks and while I was under there I was checking out my U-Joints, of course I cant tell if their in good shape or not just by lookin at them so I was wondering if there was a good way to check them w/o removal. Also, they are prob the stocks that came on the jeep back in 98 (the shocks were) so is there a reason to change them. Is this a simple job or something that requires getting someone else involved. I saw a complete write up on changing them and it looks to be simple but looks can always be deceiving. Im certainly NO mechanic so any opinions are always appreciated. Thanks.

I was thinking about doing drive shaft and axle shaft u-joints, all of them I guess. Which ones should I do if there is really no need to do all of them?
