Unbelievable Battery Luck

Well yesterday evening I was going to go see a friend's new Mustang and went to crank the Jeep. It attempted to turn over and then didn't but all the gauges acted like normal. I got the friend to come over to jump me off. That didn't really work too good so we decided to just go get a new battery. It looked like the battery was stock and when we got it out we could tell that it was. The reason I bring this up is because my Jeep is a 98 TJ Sport. It has to be the original battery because the previous 2 owners kept receipts for everything added to the Jeep.

Anybody ever heard of an original battery lasting this long? The Jeep has 116,xxx miles on it.

9 years? I have only seen 1 or 2 people beat that record. Some old lady (when I worked at AutoZone) has a 93 Carolla with the OEM battery, and some other guy with a 96 Cherokee had the OEM battery... But thats some damn good luck. Out here in AZ, your lucky to get 4 years at the most out of a battery.
