Exclamation Urethane 4 my Tie Rod Ends?

[FONT=Comic Sans MS][SIZE=3][COLOR=DarkOliveGreen]I have some ruptured grease boots on both ends of my tie rod. So I purchased some urethane tie rod end boots off of 4wd.com. So my question to everyone is does anyone know how to put them on? If you do I would appreciate the help!

Looking at the 4wd site and then the Prothane web site.. it appears that you would need to remove the tie rod, then slide the new boot over the the end pin somehow. Not sure what you do with the old boot. Did they not give you instructions? I would call 4wd.com and ask maybe they can email or fax you something.

Usually you can just pull the old ones off after you remove the TRE from the tapered holes they bolt through - if they're the kind that are held in place with a spring, cut the spring, cut the boot, and then pull it off. Make sure you clean the ball joint up real good and that you don't get dirt inside of it. After that's all said and done, don't forget to grease it all back up
