Vacuum line indentification

I was cleaning under the hood today and noticed a piece that look liked it was missing a vacuum line can any one help me identify what this is and what is supposed to go there. Its a 2001 4cy 5 speed.

Thanks for the help.

That's your leak detection pump (LDP). It's the same on both 2.5 and 4.0L. A vapor/vacuum line goes from the nipple you have circled to the intake manifold on a 4.0L and I think also on the 2.5L. I'm surprised you don't have a check engine light - just replaced that same vacuum line on my 4.0.

There you have it. 1494 is "incorrect input state detected for the Leak Detection Pump (LDP) pressure switch." Replace the line and the code should go away after a re-set.
