wasnt much help so it was worthless? Maybe dealer would be able to tell you that?

I allways thought the EGR went to the exhaust manifold using a metal pipe not plastic/rubber.

There is a metal pipe from the header to the valve the the rest is normally plastic. If it has been remove though the metal tubing will be gon to and replaced with a litte metal plate or the tube will be crimped or crimped and rolled a little. THe picture really ain't detailed enough to tell if there was metal tubing down there.

I don't think jeeps have a egr system.The maze of rubber pipes on the side of the engien is the evap system it's for emissions but is not a egr.

You're right on that. No EGR unless its a weird looking one. Mine don't have any of that stuff on it, unless its located at the rear of the vehicle.

All the stuff thats on my 99 that we don't see on 2000 and up i think thet moved it to the rear.I saw a pic of it on the web.
