Vacuum Whistle ?

Just bought a 2000 TJ 4.0 5 speed for my son.First road trip today I drove it to town for tires. Notice what sounds like a vacuum leak whistle. Does not do it while idling only after its been up to speed and will slowly die down when you come to a stop. Im assuming as it builds vacuum it starts to whistle and stops as vacuum drops off when coming to a stop. Any known problem places to start looking ?

Is is likely the intake/exhaust manifold gasket. i have the same issue when it get cold outside. There are threads on it. Do a search here and jeepforum.com for whistle and tea kettle.

Does the Jeep have an aftermarket cold air intake or a throttle body spacer?

Before you go for intake manifold, make sure one of your vacuum lines isn't cracked or doesn't have a hole in it. They can easily make this noise as well
