Valve cover breathers/filters

Alright, the other day I got home from work, and discovered my Jeep already has a K&N replacement installed. Well, I'm not one to trash a $50 air filter, so I took it out cleaned it up and re-charged it.

Well, I went ahead and removed the intake tube to inspect the throttle body for signs of a little "blow by" from the filter. I then had noticed that there are 2 hoses coming off the valve covers pcv', one connected to the intake top hat, and the other straight to the throttle body.

My question is, would it be a good idea to remove the hoses, cap off the inlets/outlets, and put breather filters on the valve cover. the theory in this would be to eliminate any possible oil vapor, and additional heated air from getting into the throttle body and dirtying it up along with the K&N.

I know this is an emission related item, but...

Thanks

iv never done it on a jeep 4.0 but on all the race motors iv built i just do the breather on the valve cover. i dont see why it would hurt anything.
