Vibration Hunting

I have had a slight vibration I thought was in my front end. after reading other vibration threads on here, I started hunting. hunt didn't take long. disconnected the front drive shaft, removed the front u-joint and it didn't look very good. 2 of the 4 ears were very tight and would grind when I turned them. drove to the parts store with the shaft tied up and found my vibration was gone. got me a new Moog with a zerk fitting and replaced the old one. put every thing back together and now my little jeep seems much smoother. thanks guys. thought I would have to pull the front shaft and replace the CV joint. with the shaft loose from the front, it seemed very tight and didn't wobble or grind so I think I'm good.
y'all have a great day.

Now that you did that joint, I would make near future plans to replace the joints in the CV (along with the Centering Ball yoke)..as they are likely at "end-of-life" too.

The process is about the same, but I like to support the trans and then remove the skid plate, as it make unbolting/bolting the DS from the T/C a a lot easier.
