Warn winch problem

Bought an LJ that has a warn winch already installed on it. The winch is a little bit idler but still in good condition. When I tested it, it will run out, but not in. The battery must be very weak because it barely spoils out. When I try to spool it in, it just clicks. Is it possible just the weak battery is causing this? Or do I need to start testing solenoids? If so, how do I test the individual solenoids to isolate the one that doesn't work correctly?

Thanks y'all!

Not spooling in (or out) sounds like a bad solenoid. YouTube has many videos on how to test a Warn winch for bad solenoid. You will need at least two for the replacement. I did this a couple weeks ago and it wasn't too difficult to make sense of. You need a multi meter, a 12v battery and some jumper wires.

I would like to think that the slowness is the battery, but I'm mostly guessing on that one.
