Washing under the hood.

Well I was looking under my hood the other dany and i nociced.... its incredibley muddy under my hood so i would like to clean it so i dont get any kind of damage... How safe is it to take it to a spray carwash and powerwash under the hood?

I do it all the time. You can cover the intake hole with a plastic bag, maybe cover the small fusebox under there too. Then go to town. Spray some simple green let it sit for 5 minutes then rinse off.
