weird heater switch problem

I should have put this in my other post but i just remembered it. When i turn my heater on, the heat blows out fine on every fan speed on all vent selections except just the dashboard vents that blow out at you. And on these vents, the fan speed works all the way up to the maximum. Many times, when i switch from any fan speed to max it will sort of shut off, but sometimes it comes on. Also, Ive just figured out that if i move the fan speed switch a little bit I can get it to come on. Is there any known issues with this? Thanks guys

Sounds like a control head going bad. Better check all the connections behind the head (vacuum and electrical) before condemning it though.
