what 2 inch lift?

I have a friend with a 97 TJ he wants a 2 inch lift, with springs and shocks. what do you guys and girls recommend? He does not want any more than 2 inches. he wants springs because his jeep has 250,000 miles!

I put a 2.5 Pro Comp on my rubicon. I like it, and would recommend it.

I may get shot for saying this but several guys over on the land rover forum where I am a member are running terrafirma because they are about 200 bucks cheaper than OME set-ups and they all love them so far. But I also agree that OME are some of the best on the market. Depends on how much he wants to spend and whether he is putting it on for looks or function.

I have the 2" Pro Crap and hate the stiff a$$ shocks . I changed the shocks to Sky jacker hydro's and now it rides great. OH go with oldman Emu !!

I have a Rubicon express kit. i really like the shocks. I had a Tomken Machine set of 2" lift springs. They were stiff and i had issues with the quality.... The top of the front coil was wound in too tighlty and wouldn't slide up over the spring isolator. Unfortunately, i bought them used from a guy on craigslist...crooked little #%&!.

The OME kits are very exspensive. he has a 2 inch spacer lift however the shocks are shot. the jeep has almost 200,000 miles. i recomended a lift only because of the miles. he never off roads this jeep, do you think he needs new springs? of maybe just new shocks???

Had an OME (Suspension Upgrade) on my 05. Note they (OME) call it a suspension upgrade not a lift. That being said they also say it will lift your Jeep anywhere from 1.5" to 2 inches.
Mine lifted 2" and was a HUGE improvement over stock, it rode and drove better and had much less body roll.
For what it is worth OME is the only way to go!!!!
