What a lousy day, RMS & Cat woes!

Today i tackeled my rear main seal and it kicked my butt. i tried the plastic/paper shoehorn thing in the package and also a straw cut in half and tore the seal both times lubed with dish soap. Any suggestions? my next step after resting a day will be loosening all the main caps for more clearance, because im not chancing destroying another 30$ seal.

Is there any specific sequence I need to go about re-torquing the main caps? I ordered a chilton manual but it hasn't arrived yet.

I have also been getting the code P0420 for the last week and today when I took the Cats off for lowering the oil pan I found out why. One precat is completely gone and the other is broken loose so I order a complete direct fit 3 cat assembly.

I tore this thing completely apart and I'm discouraged at accomplishing nothing.

Is there anyone that can look if there is a specific sequence for crank cap torque? Snap a quick picture of their chilton or something?
