What Do I Need?

Friend is going to sell me an SYE (iron rock) for dirt cheap ($150), I know I would need a drive shaft but what else would I all need for it. Also any input on the SYE would be nice. Also how hard is it to install? Would I be able to do it myself? I thank you all in advance for your answers and hope to hear back soon!

says you have a 2" BB.. if that is still true save the $150 unless you plan to lift the jeep more a SYE is not needed with only 2". that being said, it can take a few hours if you leave the t-case in the jeep or a day if you remove and install... You do need a snap ring tool.. lots of good write ups and videos out there for reference...

I dont like iron rock and would go with a JB conversions SYE or even their super short SYE

they run about $300, no, you cant reuse a rubi shaft as it is basically the same layout as the non rubi shaft, but it uses a flange instead of a slip yolk. still only 2 u-joints and at those angles, you will need a CV type shaft that uses 3 u-joints

You will also need at least adjustable upper rear control arms, and an angled rear track bar bracket.
