Is that the standard gear? Would it be ok if I went to 33's instead of 31's?

yes, it will move down the road if that's what you're asking. is it ideal? absolutely not, 4.56s is appropriate for 33s/5-speed. as long as you're OK with losing an entire gear and not being able to outrun grandma on a Rascal, you'll be fine.

if you change tire size, also remember you need to buy a new speedo gear to fix the speedometer/odo

Sorry, I have the 4.0 motor, NOT the 4 cyl.

Are my gears the same that most 6cyls received?

3.07's are the standard highest gear...the lower gears were an option or standard on other models.

Some but not all a lot do gear swaps or just have different gears from the factory for example mine has 3.73s from the factory which just so happens to be an almost ideal gear set for my 33s and auto tranny
