Smile What is this harness for?

Hi everyone :-)
I am the proud new owner of a 2000 TJ.
I bought it with a hardtop that came with a windshield wiper and defroster. However my rig doesn't have that option in it currently. I pulled off my blank switches and saw an extra harness down there. It was in the third spot from the left and plugged in. Does anyone know what it's for?
I've read that some of the older TJ's came previews for hard tops and other accessories. And it would be GREAT if this was what I needed for my top.
Thanks in advance guys!!

PS I have tried searching the forum but I can't anything that help identify the harness.

Only hardtop or dual top models came with the top wiper/defrost switches. Softop only models did not come with any of the wiper/defrost connections or hardware. You can by the Mopar kit to add it.

The DRBII connector is below the dash under the steering column

thats funny sarge, my fog light switch is on my turn signals, I pull it straight out and they turn on. I see we agree to disagree, I just had my dash apart fixing the rear wiper switch and that is what mine looked like.

Nothing to disagree with, I posted the correct answer! Yesterday!!

Your Jeep is a 2003 or newer (or whatever year they changed the dash bezel)! Thus the fog light switch on the turn signal arm. OPs Jeep is a 2000 model and our fog light switch is in the far right spot on the switch bezel, your Jeep has four spots down there!

I have an '04, and my fog light switch is on my headlight stalk. I also have a harness plugged into the back of one of my blanking plates. Mine did not come with a hardtop either. No idea what the harness is for either. I pulled the carpet up by the rear and I don't see anything that it would go to the hardtop.

I'm with Sarge on the fog light harness comment. If your Jeep didn't come with dual tops from the factory, you wouldn't have the hard top harness on in your Jeep. Here are some install instructions for putting the hardness in your TJ.

Let me know if you have further questions!

Sarge is correct the early years have three switch slots that if equipped are
1 fog lights
2 rear washer and wiper
3 rear defroster
Not necessarily that order but those possibilities

Newer TJ had 4 switch slots with the following if equipped
1 Auto Tranny OD control
2 rear wiper washer
3 rear defroster
4 rubicon axle lock toggle control
Again not commenting on order the are placed in pod
Note no fog as it was moved to headlight switch stalk

In both cases rear stuff only if you had hardtop

Even with a switch you still fog light relay(s)

Early years 2 fog light relays behind glovebox inside the cab and newer years one relay in relay box under hood
