What is this knob? ( new TJ owner question)

What is this knob? Right above the t-case shifter on the console.

I don't think that is something factory maybe someone can correct me but I don't have it in my tj,

do you have any subs in the car? Maybe it's. A subwoofer level knob.

Have you tried messing with it to see if it does anything?

I don't think that's a bass remote. I had one in my Cherokee for my 15" kicker and there is no way the entire thing would fit on the inside of that cover. They aren't that small. At least none I have ever seen

No subwoofer in the car, though previous owner was a professional pro audio guy. Pulled the shifter console and found nothing. Aftermarket stereo is a nice alpine unit, but nothing w/ preamp outputs or anything else for custom tuning.

This is only mystery #2 of a growing list... Though the rest of the problems have been fun to tackle. Poor guy also left be about $42 in spare change that I found under carpets and in seats.

At least you don't have the pile of abortion wiring I am almost done with on the 06 I bought. I swear that the previous owner will have a special place in hell filled with wire nuts, random colored wire, and butt connectors...

Oh, an I tried the ejector seat option to no avail. Thought maybe it was an afterburner level knob too, but as I watched the speedometer rise slowly after a stoplight, it became quickly apparent that I was wrong again.

It's a fuel economy knob that is usually adjustable from 1 to 10. Yours is a Wrangler edition that only has a setting of 1.

That usually controls your Reality Distortion Field generator. But it also could be to the blinker fluid monitor.

Its to launch the North Korean nukes!!! Don't touch it!!! Actually as others have said it is a knob used to increase the amp output to drop the bass. The guy who sold it to you probably took out his amps and external subs prior to selling. Removing the knob would leave a hole that would not look as cool as a knob to teleport you to a new dimension

I kinda like the warp drive idea, but that is exactly where I have mounted my A/C cut-off switch..

X2 looks like the remote gain adjuster from my Kenwood amp I used to own. If you have no system it's of no use to you.

A Jeep hitting 88 is about as likely as a Deloreon doing so
