What Kind of fluid for the transfer case?

I have heard different things about what kind of fluid to put in the transfer case. I have heard to use ATF II, but have been unable to find it. Is Dextron III the same thing? Also does anyone know how to tell the difference in the transfer cases that they put in the Wranglers?

i wouldn´t use dextron in the TC or tranny. i´ve heard many bad stories about that.

me and all of my friends always use "valvoline maxlife ATF".
