What size tire will fit?

Hello All-

I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler X and currently have stock tires on them and no lift. I want to get something that will fill out the wheel well a bit, without causing rubbing. What is the largest size tire I can get? What is the most popular tire? What tire do you all recommend?

Looking to spend about $400-500 all together..let me know what you think!

I think that's going to be a little light unless you get crappy tires or buy used. 31x10.5 is a readily available size that will fit. You can put a washer or two behind the steering stop bolts to prevent control arm rubbing. Not sure if you'll have to add to the bumpstop for fender rub or not as I've only run 31x10.5x15 on 2"-2.5" above stock height.
