Pull fuse #4 behind the glove box.

Note that this will also disable your dome lights when the doors are open, as well as the headlight warning chime. Neither a big deal while you're just changing your oil, but the last one could be an issue if you're the forgetful type

I put a piece of duct tape (pull tab) on my fuse so that its easy to pull. Plus then I can find it again easily when stored temporary in my ashtray.

Pulled fuse #4 in 2006. Never put it back in.

Don't forget to turn out your lights!

These work ok with my doors off. Doubt they would survive if you closed the door on them though.

I put a switch to bypass the drivers door for stuff like that. Took maybe 5 minutes.

Yep, I spent the 5 or so bucks and about 10 minutes and installed a switch behind the glove box.

You can manipulate the key in the ignition - try moving the key slightly, almost like trying to pull it out when it's in the accessory position - it won't pull out but there is a sweet spot where the beeping stops.
