Arrow What's a good trail muffler?

Alright forum, I'm sick of my stock muffler. I have a 4.0L I6 TJ. Everyone is telling me to get a glasspack but I don't want anything too loud because I trail ride a lot (I trail ride a lot and don't want to piss off the people I'm riding with). That doesn't mean that I want a quiet muffler though. What is a muffler that is around $40 and is not too loud, but still has a throaty grumble to it. Also I'm running no cat. Thanks!

I did a Cat Back System on my TJ because it was a '98 and (living in the rust belt) there was no way I was getting the muffler off the pipe. If you can get yours apart there are few good Muffler choices out there as well.

Most muffler manufacturers will have sound clips on their websites so you can hear the system on you application before purchasing. Or some have a trial period where you can send it back if you don't like the sound and swap it for a different model.

Don't forget that we offer a 6% forum discount and completely free shipping on all orders over $75 regardless of physical size or weight, no surcharges! Let me know if I can help you with anything at all!

I have a Flowmaster 50 and it is nice. A little louder than stock, but not much.

Me too, Im running a thrush. Its loud enough I know I have a aftermarket muffler but not loud.

I dig it. I have some leaks in my system now from age and abuse and I MAY consider something a lil louder. I dont know.
