When do you start to need extended brake lines?

I'm gonna buy the 4.25 zone combo lift. I'm wondering if I'll need extended brake lines. If there is anything else that I need to know about that needs an extension please give me a heads up.

and not to beat a dead horse or anything, but I'm trying to figure out if I need 4.56 or 4.88 gears for 33" tires. I have the 2.5 with the 3 speed trans. I've found lots of answers for the 6 cylinder but I can't find any for mine.

I've been running the Zone 4.25 Combo lift for a year now with no extended brake lines. I've checked them a while the suspension is at it's full stretch and it does not look they are needed at all to me. However, I am still curious to see what others have to say here.

The zone combo is I believe 3" of suspension lift so they might not be needed. I know with my 4" and Bilstein shocks I could get down to full droop but not turn the wheels. I went with 1/2 ton Chevy lines that are 5 "longer. They cost $13 apiece. Here is link to my build if you want to read more about it.
