Is that plug connected to a sensor at the top-driver's side of the transmission where it bolts to the flywheel? If so, that is the crankshaft position sensor and it plugs into a plug that leads up into the engine compartment. Or how about the plug on top of the transfer case for the switch that indicates it's in 4wd on the dash?
