Which brand ring and pinion?

I'm looking for some 4.88 gears. Which brand is a good choice. I'm looking for value, durability and warranty. I've looked on Summitt's web site and did not realize how many manufacturer choices there were.

Superior or Dana are the best of the best. I run G2s both in the front and rear without any problems though.

I run Superior shafts so I would be comfortable with their gears. I wasn't sure where Yukon and Motive in the rankings.

Brand really doesn't matter. As long as they are set up properly they will all be fine.

All the import gears are exactly the same, just different boxes. I don't know if Dana still makes their gears in the USA, but it doesn't really matter. There's no magic to making gears, it's all the same process. Dana just has stricter quality control.

I guess I was really looking for any brands to stay away from. Any US made versus China made.

If you want to worry about brands, worry about your master install kit. I would recommend ECGS master install kits, they use all quality parts, including Koyo bearings.

For gears, nitro, Yukon, superior, G2, motive, Dana, etc. take your pick, they'll all be fine.

So theres different brand install kits? I assumed each gear set would have their own option for an install kit....
