Which Radiator should I get????

OE, comes highly recommended by Jerry (whom I trust completely)... for $115.79 from RockAuto.

Or...... All metal from Radiator Barn is $178.40.... Help me decide. Jeep has 48k miles on it, is driven less than 7k per year.... I don't wheel it much since we got the JK, so no need for overkill, but I don't want to have to replace it in 3 years either....

It all boils down to the fact that I can replace the rad, therm, hoses for less than the cost of the all metal rad.... which will still need the therm and hoses replaced too. What would you do?

The differance I see is that the all metal one comes with a lifetime warranty and the plastic one come with a 12 month. I think I'd spend the extra bucks.

I have had this same discussion with MrBlaine several times and both his and a friend of his who owns a Jeep shop have determined that there is no better rad than the OE one. You can get others cheaper but my time is worth money too. I would get the OE and never look back. Radiator barn has had quote a few issues recently with their all metal rads as they are Chinese CSF rads I believe and the QC is spotty at best. You save nothing if it starts leaking in six months and you have to piss away another Saturday doing the job again. Just my 2 cents.

Plastic doesn't corode. I would go with OE. Best to make sure it's authentic OE though. Chrysler, for example, likely has a "value line" radiator as well. That's not OE.

Your OE radiator lasted longer than 3 years for sure. Expect about 6 to 10 years. Mine has gone 7 so far.

Dodgeparts.com has OE for your Jeep. Their reduced price is still more expensive than Rock Auto so I would be suspicious of what Rock Auto is selling as OE, maybe just made to OE specs (supposedly).

Well the vistapro website says they are made in north America soooo should be ok but I would look for a 1 core, they cool better. I some listed on moparpartsamerica.com for a similar price.

I am not a fan of plastic radiators and since I have had two Jeeps and both leaked at the top seam I opted to go for the metal. It was around $125 for the radiator and hoses are not that expensive. Just my opinion.
