Wht year for coil on plugs for the TJ's

What year did the distributor go away on the wrangler ?

I think 99 was the last year of the distributor, and 00 the first for coil packs.

correct. 2000 was first year when 4.0L engine gets distributorless direct-ignition system, re-designed cylinder head, new exhaust manifold and dual-catalyst system

The new exhaust manifold was one of the best upgrades Jeep did, the ones previous were always cracking. Didn't know about the dual-catalyst system though.
