Will a dana 35 hold up to 35s if its reniforced

Will a Dana 35 hold up to 35s if its reinforced or is it the inner axel that breaks?
Also same question with a Dana 30?

With stock 27 spline shafts, it won't last for long.

D30.... I ran 35s locked on a d30. Only lost 2 shafts in 3 years.

33's are the biggest recommended for 30 & 35 axles.

35x12.5s & a stock d35 lasted the p.o. about 3yrs (he beat it pretty gd) and me about a yr. My ring & pinion finally went b4 the axles. I know, I was on borrowed time from the beginning but I didn't build it & was gonna use it til I couldn't. Although not recommended, it will work for a while. From my exp. It also depends on how u drive & wheel. If u do go for it, don't delay buyin a new d44 or findin a used one to redo for when the d35 finally goes. Remember its not if, its when. Gd luck

Also, what do u mean by "reinforced" if your gonna spend $$ to swap out axles and obviously gears to run 35s, u could just as easy spend a few hundred more and upgrade a used d44 for your needs. Keep all that in mind. A d44 is what u need for 35s long term.

dana 35 is a boat anchor not worth spending any money on. A dana 30 will run 35s just keep spare shafts with you.

Τruss the d35 and put 30 spline axle shafts.
Both equally usefull.
That's the right way to reinforce it.

Even if you reinforce then and truss them the ring and pinions are to small.

It was the ring & pinion that finally went on mine. I thought for sure an axle would go 1st.

Should think of an axle swap before pulling the trigger.

I'm running the 30/35 axles with 35s. Rear shafts snapped after owning it for a year. Replaced the shafts with Yukon chromoly shafts and nitrogen treated r&p. Haven't had an issue since. Also added a truss when the Rock Krawler lift in the rear was upgraded.

Εxactly!
It's the truss that limits the axle flex and protects axle shafts(which have to be replaced with something stronger) AND r+p.
