Winch Cut Off Switch

can anyone tell me how to wire my (at this time non-working) winch to a cut off switch? I just can't seem to wrap my mind around how it needs to be done. I would like to hook it to a switch in the cab but if I can't figure it out, I'll just have to use one of those throw switch things.......any ideas would be greatly welcomed.

A cut-off switch? So it can't be energized by someone bent on vandalizing it or your Jeep? If so, that's not an easy thing to do unless you remove access to the plug on the side, or remove the plug entirely. Disco'ing one of the winch leads from the battery would be another way but that's a PITA. Putting a switch into the main power circuit is not easy due to the >400 amps a winch can draw.

Here is another source, that has great switches for mounting your winch controls, on the inside of your Jeep.

This guy has some serious stuff, for Jeeps. I am sure that he would have the wiring schematics, as well.

Hope this helps, and is what you are looking for.
