Windshield Brow

I am thinking about putting a brow on my windshield. I am thinking about 4in. If anyone has a picture of their wrangler with one, I'd like to see it.

Thanks

Is a "brow" one of those sunshade type things that the old cars had that stuck out from the windshield? IMO - not on a TJ. That's what visors are for.

I think he means a strip of tint. I have a bad enough time seeing around the mirror and my dice, so I wouldn't, and I don't recall ever seeing one with it done, but if you like it, go for it, and if you hate it afterward, it isn't very hard to remove....

Or are you referring to a strip of tint across the top of the windshield?
I had one on mine. Maybe 3". Didn't look too bad. I liked it.
Did away with it when I had my windshield replaced and haven't got around to putting another one on yet.
Sorry though, I don't have any good pics of it.
but you can kinda see it here....

I put one on mine for cutting down on the winter sun glare that is low in the sky in North Dakota here. I like it alot, it's limo tint for darkness.

I'm thinking about getting just a front strip like that on mine. I found the OE visors to be in the way a lot and pretty well useless anyway -- might get a few inches of 20%

I almost had a sign shop make one of those in that stuff they put on bus windows - you can see out, but not in. Bonus is they print it, so you can put anything on there you want. Anything you can make in Photoshop or whatever, can be printed in color.

About 30 bucks.

Didn't do it, just because of time - needed it right away, so went with boring letters. But I'll get back to that idea.

I get early morning sun between the visors when they are down. (Around the mirror). I put a short strip with rounded corners behind the mirror. Just wide enough to block the early sun.

My whole windshield was tinted when I got it and it was great until I got a new inspection sticker. The guy took his scraper and tore it all up. I liked it but as many times I have to change the windshield the cost time and effort is too much.

I put one on my previous TJ and it worked fine for a bit. It was just a pack I picked up at auto zone. Try that first and see if you like it. VERY cheap, like less than $5 I think. If you like it, you can get a nicer one put in. These cheap ones don't last long with the wetness we all get on the inside of the windshield. But, it was worth a couple of bucks to try it out.

Haven't put one on my new girl yet--but will look into it. Hey Linda--that would be a good route next time you order some of your Dirty Mudder stickers!

Mine is about 5 inches and it's 5% ... I had mine professionally done and I paid 20 dollars for the brow.

I wanted to do this for the same reasons as previously posted but it's not legal in VA.

They were actually going to fail me for having trail stickers on my front window from Camp Jeep so I peeled them off, good thing they were "window clings". Once I got my new inspection sticker they went right back on.

Now the tint I can see on a TJ. Had it on my CJ because I didn't have visors due to the roll cage be in the way.

Yes...look for a window tinting in your area. A good tinting place would know how to cut around the rear view mirror and make sure they REMOVE your rearview mirror when they put the film in place.
