Get it fixed, you will probably get another one as soon as you replace it. Mine had 8 cracks and I didnt replace it until I had to have the NJ state inspection last year. It got hit again shortly after and it has a large crack and I will not relace it until I need another state inspection next year. Thank god it only cost me $159 for a new one.

get it fixed before it runs, almost all insurance companies will cover the cost. But if you dont want to file it, it should cost about 35-45 dollars cash.

Get it fixed ASAP. With the big change in temps between day and night it can easily run. Avoid using the defrost, if possible, until it is fixed. Don't know where you live, but I charge $40.00 for the first 3 chips. I can't (yet) fix cracks over about an inch, but some windshield tech's fix up to 24". If you have full coverage, or comp w/glass your insurance should cover it with no deductable.

ya I have full coverage,I guess I should talk to my insurance guy to see how they'll cover it and go from there, the bad part is the time of year like you guys said getting colder at night and may need to use the defroster, thanks for the replies.

Always see the commercials on TV. "Safelight repair, safelight replace"

Definitely get it fixed.

i had some chips in my windshield and got them repaired. it is usually $40-50 per chip, but some insurance companies will waive the deductible and cover the chips. i had high point and they fixed them for free.

If you have glass coverage on your auto policy, it will be free to either fix it or replace the whole thing. If you don't, it will be $175 at the most to replace the whole thing.
